About that principled stand

Nevermind.
Nearly a month after President Barack Obama picked her for the Supreme Court, Republican senators say Sonia Sotomayor isn’t serving as the political lightning rod some in their party had hoped she would be.

“She doesn’t have the punch out there in terms of fundraising
and recruiting, I think — at least so far,” said Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.), who most likely will be elected as the No. 4 Republican in Senate leadership this week.

We can't raise money off of tortured readings of her opinions, it's not working well for our recruiting efforts, so I guess we'll allow her to move forward with her nomination -- for now. Bigotry just ain't what it used to be, I tell ya.

Somebody better make sure the Admiral gets the memo before his head explodes at further contemplation of the nominee's "seething hatred this women has for the white race."
