In the waning days of his final session in Congress, Jim Ramstad saw one thing that he and Paul Wellstone had worked on for a long time finally come to fruition: mental health care parity.
Only one member of Minnesota's congressional delegation switched votes from Monday's action -- Republican Rep. Jim Ramstad voted 'yes' on the revised bill, in part because it contains a mental health parity provision he has long sought.
It's obvious that Ramstad got this sweetner for his vote - which turned out to be not all that critical - but nice work, Jim.
