Randy Demmer, who as a Minnesota legislator authored a bill to permit hunters to shine lights on rural porches to look for wounded raccoons (alas, I cannot find the the post from a few years ago), has bagged a big one himself:
Demmer’s campaign announced today that former Minnesota Rep. Vin Weber has signed on as campaign chairman. Weber served in Congress for Minnesota’s sixth and second districts from 1981-1993 and was an adviser to Mitt Romney’s 2008 presidential campaign.
A breathless Demmer reports:
“Nobody understands southern Minnesota better than Vin Weber,” Demmer said in a statement announcing Weber as chairman.
Considering that Weber clapped the dust of southern Minnesota off his shoes in 1993, this might not be entirely accurate.
