A word to the commetariat

Reports are coming in from the field that some of you are having trouble logging on to the comment system. I feel your pain, because Echo sometimes logs me off unexpectedly and I have trouble logging on, too.

But if you have a Twitter, Echo, or a legacy Haloscan account, you ought to be be able to do it. Let me suggest this:

When you get to the “Leave a comment” window, click on the silhouette, and you’ll be prompted to log in. Select Twitter, or whatever. You’ll get a message from Twitter (if that’s what you’re using), saying something about Echo wanting access to the Twitter system. Click “yes.”

Now, here is where it might get tricky. After you say “yes” the application will try to redirect you back to the log on page. For some reason, that doesn’t seem to (always) work. Some browsers, Firefox for example, may say that redirection wasn’t allowed, but even if you click on the “Allow” button, it still doesn’t work.

What you want to do is just close the window that the Cucking Stool is open in. When you open it back up and go back to the “Leave a comment” window, you should be logged in.

If it still doesn’t work, email me at blogspotdog (at) gmail.com.
