Ibrahim Hooper, a spokesman for the Washington office of the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), which also was named in the letter, said he's "shocked by the hysteria the lawsuit has provoked."This [letter] isn't too surprising given the anti-Muslim stuff you see on some blogs," he said. "It's brought the wackos out of the woodwork."
That's a quote from a Strib article that MNO mentions in a comment to Spot's post Way to go, Katie! The New York lawyer representing the so-called "flying imams" (which is funny, because they were actually grounded by bigotry) received a death threat recently, and now we learn that the letter had a St. Paul postmark.
Not only the blogs, Mr. Hooper. Not only the blogs.
