Heroic measures were taken for months to save the patient, but in the end, Susan’s face died yesterday afternoon. Alas, finally, it couldn’t be saved. Koua Fong Lee got his new trial. The rest of Susan reacted:
I think it's time to bring this very sad [and humiliating] event [for me] to a close," she said outside the courthouse. "No appeal, no new charges; this is over.
Well, not entirely over. Services for Susan’s face are pending.
